We began with Mr. Pardeshi running a dipstick with the leaders present: a genuinely open dialogue, industry-relevant questions on everything, what's working, what isn't.
We covered a lot of ground: how fast GCCs are growing, what AI is changing about the work itself, and the practical, on-the-ground support companies need when they set up. Maharashtra's opportunity is real: from Pune to Navi Mumbai to Solapur, the state is well placed to lead India's next wave of GCC growth.
We know the GCC economic story by now: India hosts ~50% of the world's GCCs, ~2% of GDP, 111 new greenfield centres in the first eight months of 2026 alone.
But what the conversation kept arriving back at was the thing that matters most to Decisionmakers: looking beyond the policy, at people. How do we get the right talent? How do we build better cities? How do we get Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities genuinely enriched and energised? Livable. Accessible. Full of real opportunity, not just jobs. Places where innovation shapes how the whole city works.
Sounds utopian, but it's genuinely within reach if policymakers and industry decide to work on it deliberately, instead of leaving it to chance.
