Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong met four of India’s ministers Smt Nirmala Sitharaman, Dr S. Jaishankar, Shri Piyush Goyal and Shri Jitin Prasada, ahead of the 4th India–Singapore Ministerial Roundtable, with conversations centred on advanced manufacturing, digitisation, sustainability, and connectivity.

The commitment on both sides to deepen economic ties is unmistakable and one thing became clear: the startup ecosystem will play a critical role in strengthening these bilateral ties.

Startup Policy Forum represents 75+ new-age companies together valued above $100 billion, and we are committing to carrying this dialogue forward, bringing an SPF delegation to Singapore later this year to deepen the partnership and build on the corridor.

India and Singapore already collaborate closely on various aspects of the new economy, and the areas of cooperation ahead are significant.

The day ended with an excellent session at INSEAD in partnership with FICCI and a fireside chat of Minister Goyal and Sameer Hasija of INSEAD. It was insightful to hear perspectives of industry leaders including Uday Kotak, Anish Shah and Rajan Bharti Mittal.

These G2G meetings always set the stage for strong business partnerships. Excited for what’s ahead for India’s startup ecosystem as these relationships strengthen.
