Beyond the fun and the conversations, community building gatherings by Startup Policy Forum are also a moment to pause, reflect, and acknowledge.
At Fintech Table in Mumbai this week, we shared our deepest gratitude for Dr. Abhijit Phukon, Joint Secretary, a genuine champion of India's startup ecosystem and a driving force in the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Indian Ministry of Finance. As he moves on from this role, we couldn't be more grateful for his guidance and support over the years.
We also highlighted some incredible milestones of our members, from congratulating Harshil Mathur of Razorpay for the launch of Vulcan, an AI foundation model for payments, to a shout out to Progcap’s Pallavi Shrivastava for the “Woman Ahead” recognition at the upcoming The Economic Times Startup Awards.
And also a hat-tip to the wonderful Shereen Bhan, Managing Editor, CNBC-TV18, on completing 25 years of Young Turks, the longest-running show on startups. (PS - To put it in perspective, many founders who are SPF members are younger than the show itself!)
Signzy and Startup Policy Forum teams also unveiled the trophy for Season 2 of the Fintech Premier League in the presence of founders and policymakers. With 30+ startups already signed up to compete in this cricket tournament, it’s turning out to be one exciting ecosystem initiative.
Last but not least, it was a chance to share progress on the Startup Policy Forum over the last 20 months, and to thank our members and all other stakeholders for their wholehearted support as we continue to learn and evolve as an institution.
At SPF we believe in a deeply collaborative approach to ecosystem building, and it's always a real joy to have founders, investors, policymakers, media persons, and ecosystem enablers in the room with us.
