The partnership was formalised on the sidelines of SPF’s Fintech Baithak, that has brought together  30+ fintech founders and leaders in New Delhi to engage with senior government stakeholders for a two-day substantive policy dialogue.

FPL’s first edition was nothing short of spectacular with 32 companies including Razorpay, PayU, CRED,

PhonePe, Zerodha, Paisabazaar, and more participating.  86+ matches were played. 100+ CXOs and senior leaders were involved. And at the end of it all, Zerodha lifted the trophy as the national winner.

As an ecosystem enabler, SPF exists to bring India’s startup  community closer across policy, partnerships, and community.

Partnering with FPL is a natural extension of that mission. We aim to make successive editions bigger and bolder with more teams, more energy, and even greater participation from across the financial services ecosystem.

In India, cricket isn’t just a sport. It is, as we all know, something closer to religion. And nothing quite binds people across companies, roles, and rivalries like the game.

FPL’s first edition proved exactly that. From the heat of competition to the warmth off the field, what FPL created for the fintech ecosystem was something truly special.
